Just Wanted to share a thought that just occurred to me.... Isn't the paddling community as a whole, bloody fantastic?
Whether it's a chat in the pub, or hitching the shuttle, fellow paddlers are just nice guys and girls. Now doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy?
That's why the events that get paddlers together are so much fun. I tend to end up drinking to much and running around talking to (making a tit of myself in front of) as many folk as I can. But the little bits here and there that I do remember are damn good. (Hurrah)
Events like Liquid Life, the Andy Jackson weekend and the recent student safety symposium have been a good craic... and the boating hasn't been too shabby either
